The
Department of Music is sponsoring the fourth concert in its annual
Jazz Week Benefit Concert Series, Wednesday, December 3, 2003,
7:30 PM at the UAA Arts Building Room 150 Recital Hall.
This
concert will feature all UAA student groups: The UAA Jazz Quintet,
(sax,
trombone piano, bass, drums and vocal soloist); The JDNT Jazz
Project, (guitar, sax, bass and drums) the UAA Vochestra (7 vocalists
with
rhythm section trumpet and trombone) and the UAA Jazz Ensemble
(a mini big band).
This event will culminate and demonstrate
evidence of each student’s work through their participation in weekly
rehearsals and various performance opportunities each group has
performed through out the semester.
Tickets for the concert are
$2 UAA students $5 for military & seniors, and $10 general
admission. Tickets are sold only at the door. Proceeds will benefit
Jazz Week 2004, March 10-14.
