4 p.m. Speaking Truths - Liberating Spirits- City-wide celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Civil Rights Day

To be held in the Wendy Williamson Auditorium, this event if free of charge. This city-wide celebration in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Civil Rights Day will feature the finalists of UAA's Civil Rights, Social and Economic Justice Poetry Contest and Slam Poet Ishle Park. Ishle is a writer, educator and activist who has performed in the United States, Cuba, and Korea. The celebration will also include the music of the students of Camp Fire USA and the Martin Luther King, Jr. city-wide choir. For more events, check out Student Activities
