UAA Campus Bookstore presents "Dementia and Aging: The Hope of Brain Science" with Verner P. Bingham

Verner Bingman, Ph.D. is the Professor of Psychology and head of Cognitive/Behavioral Neuroscience Program at the State University of New York at Albany. Dr. Bingam will present a perspective on how brain researchers currently understand how the brain comes to represent memory and brain abnormalities that accompany dementia, with a focus on Alzheimer's disease. Dr. Bingman will describe how brain researchers are exploring ways to treat the symptoms of dementia using current information about memory and brain abnormalities associated with dementia. Everyone welcome to attend. Dr. Bingham's visit is sponsored by the UAA Institute for Gerontology. Refreshments will be served.
