May 24-26 Pan-Pacific Conference
Please visit the conference Webpage for detailed information: Pan-Pacific Conference
The conference is May 24 - May 26 and will be held at the Anchorage
Hilton.
Changes in global geopolitics and technological innovations have
created a completely new environment where organizations function
and compete. In this rapidly changing networked global economy,
Asia-Pacific has become the world's most dynamic center of international
trade, management innovation, and technological development. As
the importance of this region has increased, so have economic and
political conflicts among the countries. Threats of trade barriers,
illegal transfers of technology and corporate espionage indicate
symptoms of continuing problems. The ever-present terrorist threats
have further aggravated the situation.
The conference will serve as an important forum for the exchange
of ideas and information to promote understanding and cooperation
among global knowledge workers, corporations, and Pacific countries.
Special plenary sessions and panel sessions featuring top executives
and government officials will be held to discuss trade issues,
management innovations, and technology-transfer problems. Numerous
paper sessions and workshops will be held. Plant tours are also
planned.
Distinguished scholars, executives, and government officials from
Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, England, Fiji, Germany,
Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico,
Netherlands, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, South Africa, Taiwan,
Thailand, the United Kingdom, the United States and other countries
will attend the conference.
