The UAA History Department, the Anchorage School District
and the Alaska Humanities Forum will sponsor a panel discussion
on race and the constitution. Featured panelists include
Rex Butler, a local criminal defense attorney, Hugh Fleischer,
a former attorney for the civil rights division of the
US Justice Department, and Professor Kenneth O’Reilly
from UAA and author of “Nixon’s Piano.” This
free event is on May 29 at 7:30 p.m. in BEB 101.
