7 p.m.33 Years in a Chinese Prison: Palden Gyatso on Human Rights in Tibet

To be held in the Campus Center Den. Palden Gyatso is an ordained Buddhist Monk who was jailed with thousands by the Chinese Government in the 'Cultural Revolution' aimed at destroying Tibetan culture. He testified before the United Nations and U.S. Congress about China's torture techniques and prison conditions in Tibet. Palden's story shows the incredible strength of the human spirit in the face of tremendous suffering. The public is welcome at this event, and free to all. This event is co-sponsored with the Students for A Free Tibet Club. For more events, check out Student Activities
