Join Dr. Jeanne Eder, Director
of Alaska Native Studies, as she presents her one-woman show
portraying the lives of Sacagawea (Bird Woman); Waheenee (Buffalo
Bird Woman); and Zitkala-Sa (Red Bird). Eder brings these historical
Native American women to life through her use of the Chatauqua
style of presentation. The characters are presented as if "alive
in the present voice". Come meet Sacagawea, Waheenee, and
Zitkala-Sa at 7:00 in the Campus Center Den. A reception will be
provided. This event is free of charge, and all are welcome to

This event has been taped. A DVD with an introduction by Dr. Jeanne
Eder as well as performances of all three characters is available
for check-out from the Office of Diversity and Compliance located
on the UAA main campus in the Administration Building.
